東京都出身。1997年から音楽学校でSTUDIO WORKのイロハを学び、1998年にTECHNO DJとしてデビュー。
DJ HACHIGAとして2003年7月にCLUB ASIAで「融合」を開始する。2008年1月よりSOLSTICE MUSICのRESIDENTS DJに就任。DJ RYOの前座を務め上げた。
その2年後、TOMO HACHIGAに改名。「NO BORDERS」「NEO TOKYO.LAB」「HYDRANT」をオーガナイズ。不定期開催ながらも異色の存在感を放つ。
トラックメーカーとしてはBOSHKE BEATSをはじめ様々なレーベルから50タイトル以上をリリース。それらはダークテクノと称され、世界中のDJ達によってプレイされる。
PSYCHEDELICシーンとTECHNOシーンを渡り歩いてきた孤高のミニマリストである。
Born and raised in Tokyo, TOMO HACHIGA began his journey into studio work in 1997 while attending music school, and debuted as a techno DJ in 1998.
Under the name DJ HACHIGA, he launched the long-running party “Yugo (融合)” at Club Asia in July 2003. In 2008, he became a resident DJ for Solstice Music, opening for renowned artist DJ RYO.
Two years later, he adopted the name TOMO HACHIGA and went on to organize a series of distinctive events including NO BORDERS, NEO TOKYO.LAB, and HYDRANT—each known for their unique character and irregular but impactful presence in the scene.
As a producer, he has released over 50 tracks on respected labels such as Boshke Beats, earning recognition for a sound often described as dark techno. His works have been played by DJs around the world.
A true minimalist and sonic explorer, TOMO HACHIGA has long bridged the realms of psychedelic and techno, carving out his own solitary path through Japan’s underground.
