永らくインターネットを中心に楽曲を発表し、2018年の Single “HIMIKO feat OKBOY & Dogwoods”を皮切りに、完全自主制作でリリースされた 1st アルバム『HEISEI』がiTunesでもダウンロード1位を記録。続く EP「NAGOMI」のリリースを持って人気は決定的になり、そのカリスマ性と共に楽曲のオリジナリティのみならず、発信される感性が話題を呼び、様々なメディアから特集されてきた。
他にもEBISU BATICAから始まり、瞬く間にCIRCUS 東京&大阪、渋谷WWW、恵比寿LIQUIDROOM など全国各所で超満員を迎えて開催された主催イベント<TOKIO SHAMAN>での、ジャンルレス/ボーダーレスな感性/概念は、ユースカルチャーを筆頭に各方面から熱狂的な人気を呼び続けてきた。
そして2021年、1年半ぶりとなる新曲”loess”、”Piro Piro mo ai feat OKBOY & Dogwoods”を立て続けにリリースし、EP『RYO』に結実。さらに独創的に深化したサウンドは話題を呼んだ。
その後も神出鬼没の活動を経て、急遽New EP「AHIRU」がリリースとなった。かつてないハイペースな作品のリリースにシーンが沸く中、釈迦坊主は自らの表現を更なるネクストステージへと昇華させていく。

Known for his unparalleled sound and vision, shaka bose first gained wide attention online. His 2018 single “HIMIKO feat. OKBOY & Dogwoods” was followed by the fully independent debut album HEISEI, which hit No.1 on iTunes downloads. With the release of the EP NAGOMI, his originality and charisma were solidified, earning him features across numerous media outlets.
From EBISU BATICA to sold-out shows at CIRCUS Tokyo & Osaka, Shibuya WWW, and Ebisu LIQUIDROOM, his boundary-free event TOKIO SHAMAN has drawn a devoted following, especially among youth culture.
In 2021, after a year and a half hiatus, he released loess and Piro Piro mo ai feat. OKBOY & Dogwoods, culminating in the EP RYO. His sound further evolved with the surprise drop of the New EP AHIRU, continuing to push his expression to the next stage.
