日本のヒップホップ・シーン黎明期から活動をスタート。97年にラップ、トラックメイク双方を手がけるスタイルでデビュー。98年にリリースしたミニ・アルバム「胎動」は、様々なアーティストが自分のスタイル確立に切磋琢磨するヒップホップ・シーンの中において、全く新しい風を吹き込むオリジナリティ性を提示、大きな話題を呼ぶこととなった。03年の「三昧」以降は、トラックメイカーとしてあらゆるジャンルの匂いを取り入れつつも、何にも偏ることなく自らのジャンルに昇華してしまう突出したセンスでラッパーやシンガーにトラックを提供。
09年には自身のレーベル「AMPED MUSIC」を立ち上げる。リリースをコンスタントに続け、最新作は2025年発表の『なかいま』。
デビューから20年を経ても、なおフレッシュでオリジナリティを進化させ続けるアーティスト。
Starting out in the early days of Japan’s hip-hop scene, he debuted in 1997 with a unique dual style as both rapper and trackmaker. His 1998 mini-album Taidō (胎動) brought a new wave of originality to a scene where artists were still striving to define their styles, earning wide attention.
Since the 2003 release of Zanmai (三昧), he has provided tracks for rappers and singers with a standout sensibility—drawing from every genre while transcending all categories to create a sound entirely his own. In 2009, he launched his own label, AMPED MUSIC, continuing a steady flow of releases.
His latest work, Nakaima (なかいま), dropped in 2025. More than 20 years since his debut, he continues to evolve with fresh, original expression.
