Sodeyamaは東京出身のDJ、プロデューサー。25年以上に渡る様々な活動と経験を基に、テクノ、ハウスからアンビエントやダウンビートまで多角的視点からのエレクトロニックミュージックを軸とし、唯一無二の世界を創り上げている。日本最大の屋内レイブ、WIREに3年連続で出演、Rainbow Disco Clubなど全国のクラブやフェスティバルでプレイ。アジア、ヨーロッパなどで頻繁にツアーを敢行するなどワールドワイドに活動している。DJスタイル同様、プロデューサーとして様々な名義で活動。DJ SODEYAMA名義ではNina Kravizのレーベル、трипをはじめ、DYNAMIC REFLECTION、QUARTZ、CHILDREN OF TOMORROWなど様々なレーベルからリリース、多くのリミックスも手がける。THE PEOPLE IN FOG名義としては、SOUND OF VASTから現在までに「DEEP EP」、各レコードショップで即日完売し話題を集めた「HIGHER」を含む3枚のEPと数枚のブートレグバイナルをリリース。2014年にはオランダのADEに出演。2021年には同名義でアルバム『1977』をリリース。THE VINYL FACTORYが発表した2021年ベストアルバム50に選ばれた。
Sodeyama is a Tokyo-born DJ and producer. With over 25 years of diverse activity and experience, he crafts a unique sonic world rooted in electronic music, spanning techno, house, ambient, and downtempo from a multifaceted perspective. He has performed at Japan’s largest indoor rave WIRE for three consecutive years and regularly plays at clubs and festivals across the country, including Rainbow Disco Club. His global presence includes frequent tours throughout Asia and Europe.
Alongside his DJ work, he also produces under several aliases. As DJ SODEYAMA, he has released on a wide range of labels including трип (Nina Kraviz’s label), Dynamic Reflection, Quartz, and Children of Tomorrow, and has worked on numerous remixes. Under the name The People In Fog, he has released three EPs—including the widely talked-about Higher, which sold out instantly at record stores—and several bootleg vinyl records on Sound Of Vast. In 2014, he performed at ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event), and in 2021, he released the album 1977 under the same alias, which was selected as one of The Vinyl Factory’s Best Albums of 2021.
