CHOKO began his career as a hip-hop DJ in 1994, later expanding into a wide range of dance music including house, breakbeats, and jungle. Around that time, he discovered outdoor parties—a transformative experience that led him deep into rave culture. In 2001, he co-founded the underground psychedelic/techno party DIGITALBLOCK with DJ Daijiro, based in his hometown of Yokohama. Known for sets that evolve in sync with the energy of the dancefloor, CHOKO continues to move core dancefloors across Japan, especially in the Kanto region. He is also an accomplished graphic designer, creating artwork for numerous party flyers and handling label design for SINCOPAT, the acclaimed Spanish label led by AFFKT.
